With something for everyone, the Twin Waters suburb of Queensland Australia is a suburb of the Sunshine Coastal area. This region is a big tourist district and has wonderful shopping, nightlife and of course, water activities. A group of friends or family vacationers could hang about an all inclusive resort which has a bit of everything right there so that no one has to go out of the area unless they want to do a bit of sightseeing or perhaps a museum visit. Alternatively, there are many Twin Waters apartments available to stay in.

Golfers love the scenic and beautiful area that has several different golf coast with the largest being the Mount Coolum Golf Club. This golf course offers a monthly metal competition that is normally held on the first Saturday of the month and there are various prizes going to the winner. This is an 18 hole, par 72 championship course and is not for those who simply ‘dabble’ in the sport. There are several other, smaller, yet still as beautiful golf courses near the Sunshine Coast, the Sunshine Coast Golf, Golf Australia and Golf Qld.

If lying on the beach, soaking up the sun is more your style, then the Mooloolaba beach is the perfect choice. The white sandy beaches and lots of water sports will keep people busy all day or all week. There is snorkeling, deep sea fishing, wind surfing or boogie boarding. For those who like their water activities a little calmer, there are hundreds of chairs for lounging by the shore to soak up the sun and maybe take a dip in the surf.

The Mooloolaba area is also where the famed Australia Zoo is located and the home of the late Croc Hunter and now his daughter, Bindi. The Australian Zoo is a great place to spend the day. They allow people to ‘play’ with many of the animals; they can get up close and personal with several breeds and species.

This popular area is also home to many different shopping experiences and restaurants in addition, there are several ‘quirky’ architecture buildings to visit and admire. There is also an amusement park called Aussie World that possesses over 30 different rides and games. And don’t miss out on the Big Kart Track which gives guest a chance to navigate hairpin turns, chicanes and wild bends in the roadway. It is a true adrenalin rush.

Cotton Tree is another great place to visit while vacationing in the Waters of Twin region and it’s one of the best kept secrets. This area lies between the ocean and the opening of the river. Each Sunday morning features a market of produce, different types of wares and handicrafts. Thousands of tourists and locals flock to the market every weekend and this is a great holiday destination for hundreds of travelers.

One of the best places to sightsee in Queensland is the Big Pineapple which is one of the major iconic symbols of the region of the Sunshine Coastal area for many, many years. The plantation train travels with it’s tourists throughout the farm to see all the sights and learn all there is to learn about pineapples.

A drive along the Blackall Range is where a lot of the tourists take their peaceful and relaxing drives to view and visit the Flaxton with the examples of the different early ‘Queenslanders’ with their solid timber houses and lots of character in their buildings, many with the verandas of spacious build. Viewing is never a problem here for they sit atop a ridge and the Twin Waters is not far so a quick day trip would be in order for a group of travelers or a family.
