What are rail passes? How do Europe rail passes work?
If I want to have an Europe trip using rail passes, would I need visas for all the European countries I want to visit?
Check out the website of Eurail, they offer various passes for different countries. Canadian citizens do not need a visa for a total stay of 90 days within the 25 countries forming the Schengen travel zone. Countries not belonging to the Schengen area (Bulgaria, Cyprus, Ireland, Romania, and the United Kingdom) also do not require a visa from Canadian tourists. If you should be between 18 and 35 years and plan a longer stay you could apply for a working holiday visa under the youth mobility scheme which is offered by Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Frannce, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
