Validating a Britrail Youth Pass?
I am interested in purchasing a Britrail Youth pass that is half off when you have a Eurail pass as well. However, my Eurail pass will not be validated when I go to Britian, as England is the first stop and I don’t want to waste my Eurail pass validity while I can’t even use it.
My question is…will they accept my discounted Britrail pass even though my Eurail pass won’t be valid at the time?
I emailed the rail dept on Rick Steves’ website and got this reply
“Your situation is normal and your plan for using those two passes is fine. You only show the Eurail pass and write the pass number onto the discounted BritRail pass. It need not be validated.”
